16 Best Body Wash and Soap for Kids in 2020 Reviewed

Choosing the best body wash for your little one can be a minefield. I know as a parent you want to make sure that you are purchasing the best products for your baby and that they are going to nourish and enrich their skin. There is so much choice out there and so many questions to answer.

In a Hurry? Here are our Top Picks!

Do you use a brand name you recognize?

Many new parents myself included (when I was a new parent) find comfort and reassurance in a brand name that we knew and recognized. It may be from our own childhood, memories of happy times that make that particular brand seem like the right choice for you and your baby. But these days there are far more options available to us parents, from less known brands. Many of these brands are just as good if not better than the well-known ones as they produce products that are relevant to the time and culture that we live in. Meaning that they take into account environmental impact, toxic ingredients, organic and natural alternatives that maybe those more well-known brands do not.

Should you go for organic and natural?

Truly only you can make this choice and it is very much down to personal opinion. Personally I think you can look at it two ways, you can say that these non-organic products were fine for our parents and their parents. That they caused no harm to them. Or you can be on the side that says maybe its time we looked at more natural and organic alternatives.  Either way, there is no right or wrong answer.

What about trying a 3-in-1 shampoo, body wash, and bubble bath?

There is no harm in trying something different, those multi-functional 3-in-1 options are great as a time-saver, less packaging so more environmentally conscious, great money saver as you are only needing to purchase the one product.

Best Body wash for Kids – Decisions and choices

Best Body Wash for Kids

Choosing one winner out of these fantastic body washes was so difficult. So I decided to pick two as they were so close

Personally I think that the best body wash for kids that I have reviewed is the Pleni Naturals Organic Body Wash with Essential Oils. This brand seems to have found the balance between being environmentally savvy while still producing a product that is natural yet effective. It may not be a brand that is recognized in every household but it more than makes up for that with its unique scents and formula. It is also a multi-functional product which means that it is affordable and this is always good for parents. It is a great product with no disadvantages that I could find!

Second place goes to an oldie but a goodie, it’s Johnson’s Baby Bar. This is a well-known brand that almost all parents would have heard of and has been available for many years. But despite this, it is still a product that is relevant to today’s parents. With its hypoallergenic formula and enriched moisturizers, it is still looking after your baby’s delicate skin and is very affordable. The only disadvantage of this product is that it has no scent at all, although this might not be seen as a disadvantage by many.
