Hi, my name is Lorie Anderson. I’m a mother of 3 energetic kiddos. I have a smart, beautiful, curious 6-year-old daughter, an imaginative, handsome 11-year-old social butterfly son, and a creative, artistic 16-year-old stepson. With each of my kids being five years apart, I feel that I’m continually phasing in and out of each stage of parenting!
I completed my Masters of Science in Education, Learning, Design, and Technology in 2019 from Purdue University. This experience has opened my eyes to many things. I’ve learned a lot about the way children learn and behave, especially in a school setting with regards to curriculum. I enjoy sharing that insight through my writing and hope that it can help others.

After years of trial and error and figuring out what works for me and my family, I wanted to share my experiences and resources that have helped me along the way. Through my experiences with pregnancies, childbirth, searching for babysitters and nannies, finding appropriate schools for my children, to becoming an advocate for my child with learning difficulties, I have learned a lot about myself and how I can best support my family.

I’ve struggled with being a stay-at-home mom, working from home, and working outside the home. I’ve also gone from focusing all of my attention on my “only child” to having three children and having things start to slip through the cracks. I certainly haven’t mastered parenting, but I think I mostly have the hang of it and look forward to sharing the lessons I’ve learned along the way.
Everything on the website is put together by me. I also work with freelance writers, but all the topics are selected by me and I read over and edit every article. They are not put online until I’ve gone over it and given the green light. The accuracy and value of our content is very important to me!

I realize that my experiences and beliefs will not resonate with everyone and that’s ok! We’re all on our own paths! I’m a strong believer that knowledge is power and if I’m able to help just one parent out there from sharing some of my experiences, I’m all in! Parenting is hard. It’s never perfect and we’re always striving to do better. I hope that some of the resources that I have found to be helpful for me and my family might do the same for you!
