Yumi Baby Food Review 2023

Once our babies are ready to progress from formula or breastmilk to food, it can seem like a very daunting, confusing, and overwhelming time.

Mastering the art of keeping your babies fed, while ensuring the nutritional value is perfect and that they eat a variety of different meals really is one of the hardest things you will do as a parent.

And after all, everything hinges on proper diet and nutrition from their sleep habits, mood, and of course their development. For those parents out there that feel lost in the wilderness, do not despair.

There are companies like Yumi who are now stepping up and offering to fill in those gaps in your little one’s diet and help to relieve the stress and worry for parents by offering a complete baby food subscription and delivery service.

Check out our review of Yumi and the baby food that they offer for yourself.

Their meals are available in four stages in order to suit your child’s developing need for texture and tastes. Their foods range from smooth purees to finger foods and everything in between.

Yumi baby food is also cleverly designed to pair foods that maximize nutrient absorption, balance sugars with fibrous veggies, and help your baby get used to both new tastes and textures by combining familiar and unique ingredients together.

What Age Does Yumi Baby Food Cater For?

Yumi baby food caters to children at various stages of their food journey. It begins at 5 months with their stage 1 meals that offer purees that are made from a smooth single ingredient.

Then they move on to their stage 2 meals that are for babies aged 7+ months and contain smooth multi-ingredient purees and then stage 3 which is suitable for babies of 9+ months, and offer meals that are multi-ingredient purees but also contain seeds and grains.

Stage 4 begins at around 10+ months and these meals are made of a chunky mix of multiple ingredients, these are great as your baby can pick at the small pieces of food and even mash them between their fingers.

Yumi also offers nutrient-dense finger foods that are suitable for babies from 11+ months, such as banana bread bites, and beet burger bites.

How Yumi Works

The first thing that you need to do is to choose your meal plan, this depends on how many Yumi meals you are going to be giving your baby each day.

They range from 1 meal per day, 2 meals per day, or 3 meals per day. Whichever you choose they will be delivered to your door each week and shipping is free.

Once you’ve decided on how many meals you need for each day the next thing for you to do is to take a look at what’s on the menu.

Yumi does not automatically set your menu according to your baby’s age as they understand every baby develops at their own rate.

But what they will do is walk you through their different stages and food options. The menu changes weekly so your baby will never get tired of eating the same thing over and over again.

Once you have checked out, Yumi will provide you with a delivery estimate and a date up to when you can make changes to your order. So if you decide that it’s not for you or a flavor is not right then you can make those changes.

What Makes Yumi Better Than Homemade Baby Food

When you are a busy parent convenience really is everything. While many moms really want to be that parent that bakes cookies and makes all their meals from scratch, the reality is it’s not always possible.

Another great reason to go with Yumi is all the nutritional work that is so important at this young age is all done for you.

Delivery is another great plus for this company and a huge time saver for busy parents. It also means that you don’t have to spend any more time than is absolutely necessary away from your little one.

It is a great way to offer lots of new flavors to the entire family without the cost and waste of items that weren’t liked.

Price-wise, Yumi is not that costly. Although don’t get me wrong you can get generic brands for less. But most companies will charge a premium for their all-natural organic baby food products.

You are also highly unlikely to find a big-name company that delivers fresh baby food right after it has been made and still really wants to keep you, their customer, happy.

If you want to offer your children a wide variety of tastes and all the while instilling good eating habits in them then the slightly increased cost of Yumi is well worth it.
